Dr. Christine Lootsma DVM

Dr. Lootsma was born and raised in downtown Hamilton.  She developed a love of animals at an early age, and was constantly bringing home stray cats and injured wildlife!  This passion led her to the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, where she completed her DVM in 2007.  She returned to Hamilton and has been caring for pets here ever since.  Dr. Christine loves being a primary care veterinarian because it allows her to develop lifelong relationships with her patients.  She also believes that prevention truly is the best medicine.  She currently lives in Hamilton with her partner, Eric and her two young daughters. They welcomed their silly Poodle Louis into their lives in 2017. With her family, Dr. Christine enjoys spending her spare time either roughing it in the woods or exploring her ever-changing city (especially the restaurants).  If she can find someone to share with, she also enjoys baking and indulging in sweet treats (otherwise she would eat them all!)
